MEET OUR DOCTORS
Raj V. Angolkar, D.D.S., M.D.S.
Dr. Raj Angolkar received his graduate orthodontic training from the University of Oklahoma. He is a board certified Orthodontist, certified by the American Board of Orthodontists and has over 20 years of experience.
Apart for teaching at the University of Oklahoma for three years, Dr. Angolkar has authored seven research papers published in the American Journal of Orthodontists and has lectured in many orthodontic meetings. He is a member of American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Society of Orthodontist, Washington State Orthodontic Society, and College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontists, American Dental Association and Washington Dental Association.
He has been appointed to serve on the WA Dental Quality Assurance Commission by Governor Locke in 2005.
Dr. Angolkar is married and has two children, Tejal and Pranal. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, yoga, camping and acting in community plays.

I graduated from BYU, Harvard, and University of Louisville. It’s been almost a year now that I have been working with Dr. Angolkar. What I love the most about my job is seeing the patient’s smile after they get off their braces. In my free time, I like all outdoor activities and enjoy living in the Pacific Northwest. I am also recently married to my lovely wife, Emily.

Jana I have worked for Dr. Angolkar for 11 years. As Business Manager, I enjoy dealing with the financial aspects of my job. In my spare time I love traveling and spending time with my two grandsons. |
Nataliya I have been working for Dr. Angolkar more than 8 years. I enjoy the staff members here as well as all the aspects of my job. I love spending time with my family and playing with my 3 children every chance I get. |

Ashley I have worked for Angolkar4Smiles for 4 years as a business assistant and marketing coordinator. I enjoy doing lunch and learns and sharing the advantages of choosing our clinic for your orthodontic treatment. I also enjoy the diversity of patients as well as having 3 different locations to rotate from. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, Sumit and my 6 year old son Mikai.

Brenda I have worked as a business assistant at the front desk for Dr. Angolkar for about 1 year and 9 months. I studied Cosmetology and worked for Regis for about a year. I now love to do hair on the side. I enjoy my job because I get to interact with people and help others. In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, traveling and working out. I also like to spend time with my family as much as possible.

Diana – It has been about 2 years since I joined the Angolkar team. I am certified as a Washington State Medical Interpreter. What I like most about my job is that the day goes by quickly and you don’t even notice with our busy schedule. I also like our multicultural patients and every day is a new learning experience. In my free time I love spending time with my 4 year old daughter Noraly and enjoying any relaxing moment I can get. |
Swati Swati Angolkar is the better half of Dr. Angolkar. She has an MBA in marketing and is persuing a fashion design degree. Apart from taking care of their two children, Tejal & Pranal, Swati helps in marketing and general support for Angolkar4Smiles Orthodontics. |

Sandy Sandy has worked in dentistry for over twenty years in dental management. She brings to her work passion, enthusiasm, and humor. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, golfing, walking, and spending time with her granddaughter Kaitlyn. |
Kelsey I have been working for Dr. Angolkar for the past 7 years. I graduated from Tahoma High School in 2003 and then attended the Academy of Orthodontic Assisting, graduating from there in 2004. What I like best about my job is helping the other assistants with any procedures and also working with the younger children to make them feel comfortable with getting braces. Also seeing the finished product! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband Sean and our 2 daughters Chloe and Cassidee. Besides working out, shopping and taking our oldest daughter to gymnastics class, we also enjoy outdoor activities as a family.

Liliya I have worked as a part of Dr. Angolkar’s team for about 2 years as a clinical assistant. I received some training from Bates Technical College and worked for 2 years at for a general dentist, before coming to this office. I mostly enjoy being able to work independently here and helping create beautiful smiles! I have been married for 3 years and I enjoy being outdoors and traveling.

Breana I have worked for Dr. Angolkar for about 2 ½ years. I graduated with a PA at Concorde Career Institute in Portland, OR. Probably my favorite part of working in orthodontics is seeing the amazing transformations throughout treatment. My husband Scott and I enjoy working on our new house, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Amber I have worked for Angolkar 4Smiles for 2 years, 1 day and 42 min…LOL! Prior to this office I attended Seattle Vocational Institute Dental Assistant Program. The program was about 1 year and I have been in the orthodontic industry for 4 years. I love my co-workers, and developing beautiful smiles for our patients. I recently got married, so I love to spend time with my husband and my family especially skyping with my brother and nephew and niece in Arizona…. Go GCU Lopes Up! |
Daniel I have been working since October 2009. I received my Dental Degree in South America and I have been working in this industry for 8 years. My job is great because it is my career choice and what I went to school for, it is my passion. I like the work environment; my co-workers and I are like a small family. Dr Angolkar makes sure that we are all happy with our jobs and that we have a life/work balance. During my free time I like spending it with my family and closest friends. I am also studying for the Dental Board Exam so I can get my Dental Degree in the U.S. |

Leena I’ve worked for Dr. Angolkar for about 2 years now. I actually didn’t go to school for dental assisting, but attended Renton Technical College for medical assisting. What I like most about my job is the independence aspect of it, working on patients by yourself and keeping busy. I don’t really have much free time between working full time, taking care of my daughter, and going to school part time, but I do enjoy just being with friends and family, and relaxing at home. |
Jennifer I have worked with Dr. Angolkar and his team since October of 2009. I graduated from Kaplan College as of August 2009. My favorite thing about my job is working with a great team and seeing patients leave the office with a smile on their face, knowing we are making a difference in their life. Besides working two jobs 6 days a week, I enjoy family parties. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends, trying out new restaurants, traveling, and most of all sleep, whenever I get a chance to.
